Siwash Lake Ranch is a world-renowned luxury dude ranch, surrounded by 80,000 acres of pristine, British Columbia wilderness. Intimate, exclusive and very private, the guest ranch at Siwash Lake offers a wide range of first-class eco-adventures, superbly blended with the casual elegance and luxurious amenities of a 4½ star backcountry lodge.
The ranch is a safe haven, located well off the beaten path and far from the madding crowds. It's off-grid, 32km (20 miles) east of 70 Mile House, BC, on the historic Gold Rush Trail in a remote area of the Cariboo region. The area is quintessential Canadian cowboy country; gentle and rolling with open forests of Ponderosa pine, Douglas fir and trembling Aspen. Our secluded lakes, mountain bluffs, river canyons and natural meadows are prime habitat for many species of wild flora and fauna.
Here, you can ride horses to your heart's desire, on your own or with a guide. Besides riding, you can cast for trout on backcountry waters. Spot wildlife in their natural habitat and watch a myriad of birds along our interpretive nature trail. Mountain bike to the rim of a canyon, or a mountain bluff, where you'll see a pristine forest reach to the far, blue horizon. You can hike to waterfalls or paddle a canoe on shimmering Siwash Lake. Even cheer for cowboys at the local rodeo. Then complete your day with a refreshing swim off the dock.
And after a day’s adventure, relax in style at our boutique lodge that offers fine, organic cuisine and all the comfort and casual elegance of a grand, Old West country estate.

The ranch specializes in adult-oriented vacations and honeymoons. Yet, we’re one of only a few high-end guest ranches in North America that's truly family-friendly as well. Maximum capacity of the ranch is 16, allowing us to match complimentary bookings—romantic, grown-up getaways or upscale family holidays—and throughout July and August, children are very welcome when our “Free-Range Kids” program is complimentary.
As the ranch's owners and your hosts, we and our wilderness-savvy teenage children—along with 8 other professional top-hands—ensure plenty of friendly, personal service.
