Getting Here by Vehicle

Private & Exclusive, by Nature™

Siwash is centrally located on many popular driving routes in British Columbia. The ranch is halfway between the coast and the Rocky Mountains. We are a great stopping point between Vancouver/Whistler and Jasper/Banff/Lake Louise.

Many of our guests drive to the ranch themselves. Navigating is easy and roads are well maintained. We recommend using an SUV, however regular cars can make it in the summer months provided they are not low-clearance models. Please scroll down for self-drive directions.

Self Drive Directions to the Ranch

By Vehicle from Vancouver: The ranch is a very scenic 5½ hr. drive from Vancouver through Supernatural British Columbia via Highway #1 up to Cache Creek, continuing north on Highway #97 through Clinton to 70 Mile House. That's the most direct route.

An alternate route is via Highway #99, which is an excellent choice if you want to take your time and overnight in Whistler on the way up to the ranch. Or you could come up the Coquihalla Highway to Kamloops, and then over to the ranch from there.

By Vehicle from Whistler: Take Highway #99 through Pemberton and Lillooet to join Highway #1 headed north (turn left). Continue on Highway #1 north to Cache Creek. Take Highway #97 north through Clinton to 70 Mile House. Total driving time is approx. 4½ hours.

By Vehicle from Seattle: Take Highway #5 north to Bellingham, exit northeast onto Highway #539 to cross the Canada/US border at Lynden. Then travel on Highway #1 up to Cache Creek, continuing north on Highway #97 to 70 Mile House and the ranch. Total driving time is approx. 7 hours.

By Vehicle from Banff: Take Highway #1 west through Kamloops to Cache Creek, and then north on Highway #97 to 70 Mile House. Total driving time is approx. 8 hours.

By Vehicle from Calgary: Take Highway #1 west through Kamloops to Cache Creek, and then north on Highway #97 to 70 Mile House. Total driving time is approx. 10 hours.

By Vehicle from Jasper: Take Highway #16 west to connect to Highway #5 south through to Little Fort. At Little Fort, take Highway #24 to Bridge Lake, which is 45 minutes from the ranch. Total driving time is approx. 6 hours.

For the last section of travel in to the ranch from either 70 Mile House or Bridge Lake, please contact the ranch for our "secret" map.

Please Note: The ranch's 3 mile (5km.) dirt driveway is regularly maintained using our Champion 740 road grader. Nevertheless, four wheel drive and all-wheel drive vehicles are suggested. If a car is your only option, in the event of a weather change, or for low clearance cars, we'll be happy to ferry you from the main road using our ranch crew cab truck. All we need is for you to phone us with your estimated time of arrival, please.
