The ranch has completed a conservation project on the lake in partnership with Duck's Unlimited Canada, which has enhanced the already thriving eco-system. Avid bird watchers can observe many species including Sandhill cranes, water fowl, eagles and other prey birds, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, chickadees, nuthatches, and grosbeaks, to name a few, as well as many precious song birds.
